TRUMP PROTECTS FAITH-BASED FOSTER FAMILIES: Executive Order Ends Woke War on Christian Parents
President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order on November 13 titled "Fostering the Future for American Children and Families," designed to modernize America's foster care system and protect religious families from discrimination. The initiative is led by First Lady Melania Trump and aims to empower young Americans transitioning out of foster care with greater tools, resources, and opportunities.
The order acknowledges that "some jurisdictions and organizations maintain policies that discourage or prohibit qualified families from serving children in need as foster and adoptive parents because of their sincerely-held religious beliefs or adherence to basic biological truth".
Without strong support systems, youth aging out of foster care face steep challenges: only about half complete high school, fewer than 5 percent earn a four-year college degree, roughly one in five experience homelessness upon leaving care, and just half are gainfully employed by age 24.

The Executive Order establishes multiple initiatives: It launches an online "Fostering the Future" platform connecting youth to education, housing, career development and pathways toward independence, increases flexibility in Education and Training Vouchers for career-focused programs, and facilitates tax-credit scholarships for foster children.
Alliance Defending Freedom has represented Christian families barred from serving as foster parents because of their faith, including Brian and Katy Wuoti and Bryan and Rebecca Gantt after the Vermont Department for Children and Families revoked their licenses because of their beliefs that persons cannot change biological sex and that marriage is only between a man and a woman. Despite describing these couples as "amazing," "wonderful," and "welcoming," Vermont officials said these beliefs made them "unqualified" to parent any child.

At the White House signing ceremony, Trump stated "Faith-based nonprofits are the nation's most trusted institutions, interacting with the foster care system. Yet radical Left policies in states nationwide make it much harder, not easier, for those families to open up their homes. But we're working on that. We're dealing with the radical Left. It's not easy, but we're winning and we're winning big".
Alliance Defending Freedom President Kristen Waggoner praised the order, saying it stops officials from "shutting the door on loving parents" because of their beliefs and helps ensure "every precious child has the chance to thrive". ADF is currently litigating related cases in Massachusetts, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington.
THE CRUSADER'S OPINION
They called Christian families "unqualified." Amazing parents. Wonderful homes. Welcoming hearts. Disqualified because they believe men are men and women are women.
Vermont looked at loving Christian couples and said no. Not because they were abusive. Not because they were unsafe. Because they quoted Scripture.
Meanwhile children slept in police stations. In hospitals. In unlicensed group homes. Because the state would rather warehouse kids than let Christians parent them.
That's not child welfare. That's ideological warfare.
Trump just ended it.
Faith-based families are twice as likely to adopt. They're the backbone of America's foster system. And radical states have been systematically purging them for believing what humans believed for 6,000 years.
The executive order doesn't just stop discrimination. It weaponizes federal funding against it. It creates scorecards measuring state performance. It modernizes technology so kids get matched with families faster. It builds education pathways so foster youth don't end up homeless at 18.
One in five ages out into homelessness. Less than 5 percent get college degrees. Half aren't employed by 24. The system has been failing these kids while simultaneously rejecting the families most likely to save them.
Notice the pattern? Christians are "unqualified" to parent. But radical gender ideology is mandatory curriculum. Marriage is hate speech. Biology is bigotry. And the kids suffer while bureaucrats enforce compliance.
First Lady Melania Trump predicted this will "ignite a profound and lasting nationwide movement." She's right. Because Americans are done watching their faith criminalized while children pay the price.
States can keep their woke policies. But federal money comes with strings now. And those strings are attached to sanity.
