Atlanta Megachurch Pastor Bryan Meadows Exposed in 13 Year Affair and Abortion Cover Up

Stephanie D. Prescott, 34, a graduate of Emory University's Candler School of Theology, has publicly identified Atlanta megachurch pastor Bryan Meadows, 40, as the man she calls "Apostle Fred" in her 2024 book 95 Theses to The American Church: The Confrontation of Spiritual Abuse, Idolatry, and Mass Deception.

Prescott claims she was groomed into a 13 year extramarital affair with Meadows beginning when she was a young college student involved in his Kingdom Campus Ministries. Meadows went on to found Embassy Church International (also known as Embassy City Church) in Austell, Georgia, in 2011.

During the affair, Prescott says she became pregnant and made what she describes as a devastating decision.

I cared too much about what people would say and made the terrible decision to sacrifice our child.

Prescott's public identification came on March 9, 2026, the same day Meadows appeared on the "Hardly Initiated" podcast hosted by Jessica Laine McDonald, where he admitted to what he called a "12 year affair" with a co pastor he did not name.

Meadows stated on the podcast:

I had an affair. I stepped out on my wife, but there is complexity and nuance.

According to reporting by Julie Roys and The Christian Post, the affair was first confronted internally on Father's Day weekend 2024, when a church "head prophet" approached Meadows about the relationship. Meadows reportedly took a sabbatical but later returned to ministry.

Prescott rejects the characterization of the relationship as a consensual affair. She says she now understands it as grooming, abuse of power, and clergy sexual abuse. She alleges Meadows encouraged her to marry her high school sweetheart despite their ongoing relationship, and that the affair continued throughout her marriage.

Meadows has not responded to The Christian Post's request for comment. His internal church confession was reportedly framed as a "blessing." He remains the senior pastor of Embassy Church International alongside his wife, Pastor Patrice Meadows.

The revelations have drawn widespread condemnation across Christian media and social platforms. Multiple outlets including Church Leaders, The Roys Report, and Black Christian News have covered the story, raising serious questions about accountability structures within megachurch leadership.

Prescott's book details how she "lost herself" in the relationship and the toll it took on her spiritual and personal life. The discrepancy between Meadows' description of a 12 year affair and Prescott's account of 13 years remains unaddressed.

The Crusader's Opinion

A man who calls himself "Apostle" spent over a decade sleeping with a woman he was supposed to be shepherding, encouraged her to marry another man to keep the secret, and when she got pregnant, the child was sacrificed on the altar of reputation. Then when it all came out, he called it "complex" and "nuanced." There is nothing nuanced about adultery, abuse of spiritual authority, and the destruction of an innocent life. This man stood behind a pulpit every Sunday preaching holiness while living in the darkest sin. The Church must stop treating confession as absolution. Confession without repentance, without removal from leadership, without restitution, is just damage control. Bryan Meadows should not be behind any pulpit, period.
