Nigeria Spends $8.3 Million Lobbying Trump While Christians Killed in Overnight Attack

Government Hires DC Firm to Claim Christians Are Protected as Four Believers Shot Dead in Sleep

Nigeria has hired a Washington lobbying firm and will pay upwards of $8.3 million in a desperate bid to convince US officials that Christians are being protected in the country, even as four believers were murdered in their sleep Monday night. Documents submitted to the Department of Justice reveal the massive payment to DCI Group comes as President Donald Trump reiterates his warning of continued airstrikes if the Christian genocide continues.

DCI Group has been contracted to assist Nigeria in "communicating its actions to protect Nigerian's Christian communities"

According to the published contract. The group is also tasked with "maintaining US support in countering West African jihadist groups and other destabilizing elements."

Documents state $4.15 million has already been paid, with another payment of the same amount expected in six months. A monthly retainer of approximately $694,000 has also been agreed, with the source listed as the Republic of Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu.

Four Christians Murdered Hours After Lobbying Contract Revealed

On Monday night, four Christians were shot dead in their sleep by Fulani herdsmen in Otobi Akpa, Benue state. Nine other people were also killed and dozens are missing, according to local residents who spoke to Christian Daily International Morning Star News.

Thirteen Christians were murdered in the same village in April 2025.

Trump has threatened more airstrikes on Nigeria if Christians continue to be murdered, after ordering strikes on Christmas Day in the northern state of Sokoto.

"I'd love to make it a one time strike. But if they continue to kill Christians it will be a many time strike"

the US president told The New York Times. Nigerian officials insist those of all faiths have been attacked, but the country ranks seventh most dangerous for Christians on Open Doors' 2026 World Watch List.

THE CRUSADER'S OPINION

That money could protect Christian villages.

Fund security for churches.

Prosecute Fulani militants slaughtering believers.

Instead it goes to lobbyists crafting talking points while bodies pile up.

Trump ordered airstrikes and promised more if the genocide continues.

Nigeria's response: hire PR firms instead of stopping murderers.

President Tinubu thinks American lobbying money will save him from consequences.

It won't.

Trump sees through the propaganda.

Christians are being exterminated in Nigeria.

No amount of Washington spin changes that reality.
