FIVE CHRISTIANS BOMBED BY MUSLIMS IN UGANDA OVER PORK SALES

At least five Christians were killed during protests in northern Uganda after violence erupted when a video circulated online calling for people to protest over reports that a Christian was planning to set up a restaurant selling pork near a mosque in the town of Yumbe.

The violence erupted after reports spread that Christian merchants were openly selling pork near Munir Mosque, a move many Muslims described as provocative and disrespectful to their religion, which forbids consumption of pork.

The unrest began following a video that circulated on social media showing Sheikh Kasim Abdalla of Munir Mosque urging Muslims from the wider West Nile sub-region, and even from Sudan and Somalia, to support what he termed "Operation Albadiri," likening it to an ancient Islamic battle.

During the protest, Abdalla told his followers, "Yumbe was dedicated to Allah from the beginning. We cannot allow pork shops to operate here. Every Muslim youth must rise and defend the honor of our faith. Let no Christian business that promotes sin remain standing in our land."

Jackson Lameriga, 34, of New Revival Church Yumbe suffered intestinal and rib injuries from Somali sword stabs and succumbed while receiving hospital treatment in Yumbe. Collins Chadiru of the Church of Uganda in Nebbi District suffered face and deep head injuries after being hit with a stone, and a fractured left hand; he lost a large amount of blood before losing his life while undergoing hospital treatment.

It's reported that more people were injured after the police used live rounds to stop the protests. Members of Koboko Baptist Church, the Church of Uganda and New Revival Church Yumbe are believed to be among the dead.

Police arrested more than 30 people, including Abdalla, who was reportedly being held on charges of inciting religious violence and promoting hatred. As investigations continued, security forces maintained heavy deployment across Yumbe Town to prevent further outbreaks of violence. Social media reports indicated as many as 50 homes were damaged or destroyed in the violence.

THE CRUSADER'S OPINION

Five Christians butchered for selling pork. A mother imprisoned for over a year on fabricated blasphemy charges. This is what Islam does when it gains power.

In Uganda, a Muslim cleric called for "Operation Albadiri," invoking ancient Islamic conquest, to stop Christians from selling food near a mosque. Muslims from Sudan and Somalia answered the call. Christians were stabbed with Somali swords. Stoned to death. Fifty homes destroyed.

The excuse? Pork offends Islam. The reality? This is territorial conquest wrapped in religious language.

Uganda is 84 percent Christian. Yet in Muslim-majority border regions, Christians live under Islamic rule in everything but name. Sharia by mob violence. And the world stays silent.

Five dead Christians in Yumbe had names. Jackson Lameriga, 34, father and church member. Collins Chadiru, stoned and beaten to death. Three others whose names we may never know.

They died because they dared to exist as Christians in a town a Muslim cleric claimed belonged to Allah.

This isn't extremism. This is Islam doing what Islam has always done when given the opportunity. Expand. Dominate. Eliminate the opposition.

The only surprising thing is that anyone is still surprised.
