Dilbert Creator Scott Adams Dies at 68 After Deathbed Conversion to Christ

Cartoonist Accepts Jesus in Final Days Using Pascal's Wager Risk Reward Calculation

Scott Adams, creator of the iconic Dilbert comic strip, died January 13 at age 68 after a battle with metastatic prostate cancer, accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in his final days. Adams' ex-wife Shelly Miles announced his death during a livestream of his podcast Real Coffee with Scott Adams, reading a farewell message he had prepared on January 1.

Adams, an avowed agnostic throughout his adult life, revealed his conversion decision in a livestream on January 4, framing his choice using Pascal's Wager, the philosophical argument about the risk and reward of believing in God.

"I am now convinced that the risk reward is completely smart," Adams stated. "If it turns out that there's nothing there, I've lost nothing. If it turns out there is something there and the Christian model is the closest to it, I win."

Controversial Commentator Makes Final Bet on Eternity

In his final message, Adams wrote:

"Many of my Christian friends have asked me to find Jesus before I go. I'm not a believer, but I have to admit the risk reward calculation for doing so looks attractive. So here I go: I accept Jesus Christ as my lord and savior, and I look forward to spending an eternity with him. The part about me not being a believer should be quickly resolved if I wake up in heaven."

Adams became known in recent years for controversial political commentary supporting President Donald Trump. He lost syndication in hundreds of newspapers in 2023 after making racist comments about Black Americans. Trump mourned Adams' death, calling him a fantastic guy who supported him when it wasn't fashionable.

THE CRUSADER'S OPINION

As sick as his comments are...

Only God knows.

Never mock a soul passed that you may meet when you pass.
