Demonic? Christian Charity Launches AI To "Support" Children After Parents Divorce
Christian Charity Launches AI Chatbot to Counsel Children of Divorce Instead of Priests

Split Happens Platform Uses Artificial Intelligence to Replace Human Pastoral Care for Broken Families

A new digital platform designed to support young people affected by parental separation has launched, replacing traditional pastoral care with artificial intelligence. Split Happens, created by Your Direction, part of the Christian charity Restored Lives, was developed in collaboration with legal tech company Amicable and features an AI chatbot called Yuni that counsels children through family breakdown.

The platform launched January 5 after interviews with 30 young people whose parents had separated. Erik Castenskiold, founder of Your Direction, told Premier Christian News that separation often felt like a massive hurricane going through an individual life, particularly for children caught in the middle of conflict. He said many children wrongly believed their parents' split was their fault and often felt unable to speak about it.

AI Bot Replaces Priests and Pastors in Ministering to Traumatized Children

Start of AI Jesus in the Mainsteam or is this the Antichrist?

Split Happens includes expert reviewed guidance and the AI chatbot Yuni, designed to help young people find words to start conversations with trusted adults. Castenskiold said Yuni was carefully safeguarded and built only on approved content, acting as a bridge to real human support rather than replacing it. He added that while the platform was rooted in Christian values, it was designed for all families, offering tools such as forgiveness, communication, and hope.

The platform represents a troubling shift away from traditional Christian community care, where priests, pastors, and church leaders would personally minister to children experiencing family trauma. Critics argue that replacing human pastoral presence with artificial intelligence, no matter how carefully programmed, cannot provide the spiritual guidance, discernment, and genuine relationship that traumatized children desperately need during family crisis.

THE CRUSADER'S OPINION

Children experiencing family breakdown need human presence.

How do I know? I've gone through it.

They need priests who can discern spiritual warfare.

They need pastors who pray with them.

They need church community that surrounds them with love.

Instead they get an algorithm.

AI cannot detect demonic oppression.

AI cannot offer sacraments.

AI cannot lay hands and pray.

AI cannot provide the incarnational ministry Christ modeled.

Divorce devastates children psychologically and spiritually.

Many experience genuine psychosis, spiritual attack, and existential crisis.

And this Christian charity offers them a chatbot.

This represents the total failure of the modern church to do actual ministry.

We outsource pastoral care to technology because we're too busy or too cowardly to sit with suffering children ourselves.

Yuni is not a bridge to human support.

It's a replacement that will normalize AI ministry and destroy what remains of Christian community.
