DAUGHTER OF HAMAS FOUNDER CONVERTS TO CHRISTIANITY AFTER JESUS APPEARS IN DREAM
Juman Al Qawasmi, daughter of Hamas founding member Muhammad Al Qawasmi, publicly renounced Islam and converted to Christianity after what she describes as a vision of Jesus Christ during the 2014 Israel Hamas war. Her testimony was published by Christian Broadcasting Network in late October 2025.
Born and raised in Qatar within a family deeply rooted in Hamas ideology, Al Qawasmi stated she was taught from childhood to view Israel, Jews, and Christians as enemies.
Her father, Muhammad Al Qawasmi, referred to as Abu Jaafar, was among Hamas's early leaders.
After marrying a Hamas member, Al Qawasmi moved to Gaza in 2002 and spent more than a decade living under Hamas rule. She stated
"They promised equality and prosperity. Rather than live out what they promised, they killed Palestinians who opposed them. If you weren't part of Hamas, you lived in fear."
By 2012, Al Qawasmi began questioning her beliefs. "There was no peace, no certainty of paradise, only fear of hell and punishment," she said. "So I prayed, God, if You exist, I want to know You."

According to her testimony, during intense Israeli airstrikes in July 2014, Al Qawasmi experienced a dream in which she saw Jesus Christ. "You are my daughter; don't be afraid," she recounted Jesus telling her. She stated, "I felt peace for the first time. Islam doesn't give you peace. It's as if you can never do enough."
Al Qawasmi connected with an Egyptian Christian ministry, where she encountered her first Bible verse. "The first verse I saw when I opened the Bible is love your enemies," she said. "That verse broke me. In the Quran, we're told to fight unbelievers. But here was a God who commands love even for enemies. That changed everything."
Al Qawasmi is now an outspoken critic of Hamas. "Hamas fires rockets to provoke Israel, then hides in tunnels built with aid money meant for rebuilding homes," she stated. "There are no bomb shelters for children, only underground cities for fighters. They use civilians as human shields. Hamas doesn't care about Palestinian lives; it cares about power."

She also challenged narratives about the region. "My grandmother lived peacefully alongside Jewish neighbors before Hamas spread hatred," she said. "Even the Quran never mentions Palestine. It calls the land the inheritance of the Children of Israel."
Al Qawasmi now states, "I believe that Jesus loves Muslims so much. He wants us to be free from fear. He does not want us to be afraid anymore. We should just put our eyes on Jesus and believe. He is the way. He is the only way."

THE CRUSADER'S OPINION
A Hamas founder's daughter met Jesus and left Islam.
The contrast could not be clearer: "Love your enemies" versus "Fight unbelievers."
Grace versus violence. Peace versus fear. Christ versus Muhammad.
Juman Al Qawasmi grew up surrounded by Islamic extremism. Hamas ideology filled her childhood. She married a Hamas member. She lived in Gaza under their rule. She saw them kill Palestinians who opposed them.
Then Jesus appeared in a dream and everything changed.
This is the power of the Gospel. It breaks through generations of indoctrination. It penetrates the most hardened Islamic hearts. It transforms daughters of terrorists into witnesses for Christ.
Western Christians need to hear this testimony. Islam and Christianity are not the same. They do not worship the same God. One commands love for enemies. The other commands their destruction.
Jesus is reaching Muslims in dreams and visions across the Middle East. While the West abandons Christianity, Muslims are finding Christ and risking death to follow Him.
