British Weapons Fueling Genocide in Sudan, Christian Lawyer Warns

A Christian lawyer who fled Sudan due to paramilitary conflict has warned that Britain is indirectly fueling the crisis through its arms dealings with the United Arab Emirates.

The warning comes as the International Criminal Court warned of possible war crimes in Sudan's Darfur region after Rapid Support Forces overthrew the city of Al-Fasher, the army's last stronghold. The RSF is believed to have killed at least 2,000 people after capturing the western Sudanese city this week.

Mohaned, a Christian lawyer who has partnered with Christian Solidarity Worldwide since leaving his homeland, told Premier Christian News on November 4, 2025, that what's happening in Al-Fasher is horrific. "The ICC's decision is a positive step, but what we want to see is countries stop fueling the war," he said.

Mohaned explained that the UK's arms dealings with the UAE mean British weapons are being sold indirectly to the RSF.

"Sudan is one of the richest countries for gold and minerals. The UAE market is full of Sudanese gold, which has our blood on it."

UN Security Council documents show that British-manufactured small-arms target systems and engines for armored personnel carriers were recovered from combat zones in Sudan. The equipment was manufactured by Wales-based company Militec. Two dossiers dated June 2024 and March 2025 submitted to the Security Council were compiled by the Sudanese military and present "evidence of UAE support" for the RSF.

Evidence shows that even after the UN Security Council received information alleging the UAE may have supplied British-made arms to the militia, Britain continued to approve exports to the UAE for military equipment. The British government went on to approve further exports to the Gulf state for military equipment of the same type.

Oliver Feeley-Sprague, Amnesty International UK's Military, Security and Policing Director, said, "To describe the UK's arms licensing system as 'robust' while UK-made components have been found in weapons used by forces responsible for the widespread killings of civilians in Sudan is frankly indefensible."

The UAE has been accused of providing money, weapons, and mercenaries to the RSF. Though it denies backing the RSF, there is mounting evidence that the UAE continues to supply the paramilitaries with sophisticated weaponry and Colombian mercenaries.

The RSF has committed widespread atrocities, filming themselves massacring fleeing civilians and reportedly executing 460 people in a hospital. The paramilitaries have been accused by the US and human rights groups of committing genocide in Darfur. Sudan's war has killed at least 150,000 people, displaced millions of others, and left 25 million suffering acute hunger. The UN has described it as the gravest humanitarian crisis anywhere in the world.

Mohaned urged believers to take action. "You can spread the word. Pray for us, and support organizations which support Christians in Sudan. We need to keep praying."

British weapons are being used to commit genocide in Sudan. Read that again. Your tax dollars. Your government. Fueling mass murder.

A Christian lawyer fled Sudan and is now telling the world that Britain is arming the Rapid Support Forces through the UAE. The same RSF that just executed 2,000 people in Al-Fasher. The same RSF that films themselves slaughtering unarmed prisoners begging for mercy. The same RSF accused of genocide in Darfur.

And Britain kept selling arms to the UAE even after the UN told them British weapons were ending up in Sudan. They knew. They didn't care. They approved more licenses anyway.

This is what Western "values" look like in practice. Britain lectures the world about human rights while British-made targeting systems help genocidal militias murder civilians. The UK claims to have one of the "most robust" arms control systems in the world. That's a lie. It's a fig leaf to cover complicity in mass atrocities.

The UAE floods Sudan with British weapons. They extract Sudanese gold covered in Christian blood. And British arms companies get rich while Sudanese civilians get slaughtered.

Where's the outrage? Where are the sanctions? Where are the politicians who claim to care about human rights?

Silent. Because there's money to be made. Gold to extract. Arms deals to protect.

This Christian lawyer said it perfectly: "The UAE market is full of Sudanese gold, which has our blood on it." Blood money. That's what this is. Britain is trading weapons for gold stolen from a country being torn apart by genocide.

And Christians are suffering most. Sudan's Christian population is caught between two genocidal militias. The RSF commits atrocities with British weapons. The Sudanese Armed Forces abandons civilians to be massacred. And the West pretends not to notice because business interests matter more than human lives.

This is evil. Calculated. Systematic. And Western governments are complicit.
