CSW Demands Premier League Confront Sheikh Mansour About Backing Forces Killing Christians

Christian Solidarity Worldwide has launched a campaign demanding the Premier League address alleged human rights abuses linked to Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan over the United Arab Emirates' support for forces committing atrocities in Sudan.

The organization announced the campaign outside Manchester City's Etihad Stadium, calling on the public to sign a petition urging League action.

Christians stand up for Sudan genocide agains Manchester City Owners support

CSW highlighted the UAE's role in supporting the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan's ongoing war, which has killed over 150,000 people, displaced more than 13 million, and left over 30 million in urgent need of humanitarian assistance, including nearly 15 million children.

The organization cited a United Nations Panel of Experts report from January 2024 describing the UAE's support for the RSF as credible.

Churches Destroyed as UAE Backed Forces Target Christian Communities

In Sudan Churches are burned and destroyed

Sarah Smith, CSW's Sudan advocacy officer, told Premier Christian News: "The situation in Sudan is the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.

Every Sudanese family is affected. Churches have been destroyed, communities uprooted, and Christians and other minoritised groups face severe hardships." Smith emphasized that Sheikh Mansour is a close ally of the RSF leader, demanding the UAE stop supporting the forces and calling for the Premier League to confront the club owner.

CSW chief executive Scot Bower said the initiative aims to support a ceasefire and return to civilian led governance in Sudan, stressing that collective action could push for justice and humanitarian aid.

THE CRUSADER'S OPINION

CSW is right to demand accountability, and so should we.

But the Premier League will never act because they value UAE investment more than Sudanese Christian lives to them.

British football sold its soul for petrodollars.

Now it's complicit in genocide.

Every Manchester City match is a celebration funded by Christian blood.

And nobody with power cares enough to stop it.
