200 Muslim Terrorists Burn 3 Christian Towns While Nigerian Army Vanishes for 24 Hours
Fulani militia commander admits to burning three Christian villages in Nasarawa State as 200 armed fighters operate for 24 hours without military response.
Fulani Militia Burn Three Christian Communities in Nasarawa While Nigerian Army Does Nothing
At least 11 Christians are confirmed dead and more than 50 homes have been razed to the ground after heavily armed Fulani ethnic militia launched coordinated attacks on three predominantly Christian communities in Central Nigeria's Nasarawa State.
The attacks unfolded over a 24 hour period between Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3, 2026, targeting the communities of Gidan Ogiri (Sabon Gida), Akyewa Baka, and Udege Kasa in Nasarawa County. Residents say approximately 200 armed fighters stormed the villages, killing civilians and setting homes ablaze.
Survivors report that no police, military, or government security personnel intervened during the entire duration of the assault.
Fulani militia have been attacking our communities for over 24 hours for reasons best known to only them and there has been no reaction from the police or military.
Abu Jonah Akum, a resident of Sabon Gida, made this statement as his community burned around him.
Ismail Dan Hajiya, a resident of Akyewa Baka, told reporters that the violence was deliberate and territorial.
They are burning our homes to force us out. This is not random violence. They want to take over our land.
In a rare admission, Fulani militia commander Yahaya Ahmed confirmed the attacks but claimed fighters had since withdrawn following intervention by the state government. He stated that his men were "deployed back home" after a meeting with the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State.
Dr. Damian Attah of Benue State University warned that the security vacuum is emboldening the attackers.
When communities are left vulnerable for extended periods, it emboldens perpetrators but also deepens mistrust between civilians and the state.
The Nigerian Police Commissioner for Nasarawa State, CP Shetima Mohammed, visited the devastated communities and confirmed the death toll. However, no arrests have been announced.
Christian Villages Destroyed in Nasarawa as Nigerian Security Forces Fail to Protect Believers

Several Nigerian mainstream media outlets described the violence as "communal clashes" or "reprisal attacks," framing that Christian leaders have firmly rejected. Security analysts confirm these assaults reflect a broader pattern of ethno religious cleansing by armed Muslim Fulani militia against indigenous Christian populations in Nigeria's Middle Belt region.
The attacks are linked to a wave of violence that has killed an estimated 24,000 civilians over the past four years. In November 2025, President Trump threatened to "stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria" over Christian persecution, and the Trump Administration has designated Nigeria a "country of particular concern."
President Tinubu continues to deny any religious dimension to the violence.
The Crusader's Opinion
A Fulani militia commander openly admits to burning three Christian villages, and the Nigerian Army was nowhere to be found. Let that sink in. The attackers came with 200 armed fighters, destroyed over 50 homes, murdered at least 11 people, and operated freely for 24 straight hours. Not a single soldier showed up. Not one.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian government calls this "communal clashes." If 200 armed Christians stormed three Muslim villages and burned them to the ground, every news outlet on earth would call it what it is. The Nigerian military would have been there in minutes, not missing for a full day. This is state sanctioned ethnic cleansing, and the silence from the international community is deafening.
