They Killed the Pastor, His Daughter, and Her Husband: The 3 Month Old Baby Survived a Machete to the Head
Baby Survives Machete Wound After Pastor Bulus Madaki and Family Killed by Fulani Herdsmen in Plateau State
A three month old baby girl has been left orphaned after surviving a machete wound to the head during an attack that killed her entire family in Plateau State, Nigeria.
Rev. Bulus Madaki, who served with the Evangelical Missionary Society (EMS), was traveling with his daughter and her husband to his new mission station in Barkin Ladi County when Fulani herdsmen ambushed them on the highway.
The attackers killed the pastor, his daughter, and her husband. They struck the baby with a machete and left her to die. She survived.
Nigerian Pastor's Entire Family Killed on Highway as Fulani Violence Continues
The infant is now in medical care with a severe head wound and no living parents. Nigeria remains the deadliest country on earth for Christians, accounting for 3,490 of 4,849 Christians killed for their faith globally in the 2026 reporting period.
