His Majesty Tells Parliament "My Ministers Will Proceed With the Introduction of Digital ID" as Starmer's Digital Access to Services Bill Brings Britain One Step Closer to Revelation 13
On 13 May 2026, sitting on the throne of the United Kingdom, King Charles III delivered the King's Speech and announced that his government will proceed with the introduction of a nationwide Digital ID for every British citizen. The words from the throne were precise: "My Ministers will also proceed with the introduction of Digital ID that will modernise how citizens interact with public services."
The legislation, named the Digital Access to Services Bill, will roll out the digital ID as a free, reusable credential built directly into the GOV.UK App. The Starmer government insists the scheme is "voluntary."
UK Digital ID Bill Unveiled in Kings Speech as Christians Read Revelation 13 Again

For two thousand years, faithful Bible readers have studied Revelation 13:16 to 17: "It causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark."
For the first half of those two millennia, the prophecy seemed impossible. Technologically, no government on earth could enforce a universal mandatory identification system. In 2026, the technology now exists. The British Crown has just announced it is coming.
The government is framing the scheme as voluntary. IBTimes UK reports that employers may not give workers a real choice.
The Home Office quietly dropped plans for mandatory right to work checks in January, but reintroduced the system under the softer language of voluntariness in this week's announcement.
The bill claims it will not create "a single database of all government data about a person." Trust in that assurance is being asked of a British public that has watched its government repeatedly broken its privacy promises across the last decade.
The Crusader's Opinion
Every faithful Christian has known this moment was coming. We did not know the year. We did not know the country. We did not know which government would build it. We now know it is Britain, and we know the King himself has signed off on it from the throne. We must not say with certainty that this is the Mark of the Beast. Scripture warns against premature identification. But we must say with absolute clarity that this is exactly the kind of infrastructure that prophecy described, and that no British Christian can be casual about its arrival. Refuse it where you can. Pray over your neighbours who will trust it. Read Revelation 13 with your family this week. The Lord is not surprised. We must not be either.
