The Pattern Repeats Itself: Police Arrest a Praying Christian, Months of Investigation Follow, and Then the Charges Quietly Disappear When the Courtroom Approaches
A pro life Christian arrested for allegedly breaching a UK abortion clinic buffer zone has had all charges dropped, Christian Post reported on 23 May 2026. The case is the latest in a recognisable pattern: British police arrest a praying Christian, investigate for months, and then drop the case before it embarrasses them in open court.
The Pattern Now Documented Multiple Times
This case follows the dropped charges against Bristol street preacher Pastor Dia Moodley, the dropped Northern Ireland buffer zone conviction earlier this year, and the conviction (now under appeal) of 78 year old Pastor Clive Johnston for preaching John 3:16. The British state appears to be using the threat of prosecution to chill Christian public witness even when actual convictions cannot be secured.
The Crusader's Opinion
The process is the punishment. The British state knows it cannot win these cases in court. So it loses them slowly, after the arrest, after the headlines, after the legal bills, after the Christian witness has been silenced by sheer attrition. Repeal the buffer zone laws. Sue every police force that abuses them.
