Vice President JD Vance Says UFOs Are Actually Demons, Not Aliens

Vice President JD Vance has publicly declared himself "obsessed" with UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors, but his conclusion may surprise many: he believes what people commonly identify as aliens are actually disguised demons.

Speaking on the Benny Johnson Show, Vance stated plainly, "I don't think they're aliens. I think they're demons anyway." He elaborated that "one of the devil's great tricks is to convince people he never existed."

The Vice President revealed that when he took office, he had planned trips to Area 51 and New Mexico to investigate classified UFO files, though scheduling conflicts prevented the visits. He has pledged to "get to the bottom" of the matter.

Celestial beings who fly around, who do weird things to people... every world religion, including Christianity, has understood that there are weird things out there, and there are things that are very difficult to explain.

The comments prompted a response from John Stonestreet and Andrew Carico writing for The Christian Post. They referenced astrophysicist Dr. Hugh Ross, who claims encounters with UFOs show statistical correlation with occult involvement. Scholar Diana Pasulka has characterized "UFOology" as a religion filling a void only God can satisfy.

The authors also cited C.S. Lewis, who observed that humanity prefers "an impersonal God" or "a formless life force" rather than confronting God directly. They argue that secular humanism, which positions humans as the measure of all things, ironically devalues humanity and drives the search for other intelligent life.

The Christian Post article emphasized that early Christians rejected fear of supernatural beings, believing Christ's resurrection definitively defeated Satan and enthroned Him above all cosmic powers. They noted that many unexplained phenomena may have ordinary explanations such as drones, weather balloons, and government operations, alongside what Scripture describes as genuine demonic activity.

The Apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:12 that believers wrestle "not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Stonestreet and Carico argued this passage directly addresses the kind of phenomena Vance described.

They concluded that Christians should discuss evil as both real and defeated through Christ's resurrection and crucifixion, which "disarmed authorities and triumphed over all seen and unseen powers."

The Crusader's Opinion

Say what you will about JD Vance, but the man is asking the right question. In a world that has spent decades trying to explain away the supernatural with little green men and government cover ups, a sitting Vice President just pointed at the Bible and said, "Maybe the answer has been there the whole time." Scripture is clear: there are powers and principalities at work in this world that are not flesh and blood. The secular world will laugh, but they laughed at Noah too. Christians should not be embarrassed to call evil by its name. If the phenomena are real, then the spiritual war is real, and the only defense is the full armor of God.
