Hindu Leaders Speechless on Camera When Asked About Murdered Indian Christians
Ram Madhav and Dattatreya Hosabale Refuse to Answer as Pieter Friedrich Confronts Hindu Nationalist Officials Outside Hudson Institute
Two of the most senior leaders of India's Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the parent organisation of the ruling BJP, were caught on camera in awkward silence when journalist Pieter Friedrich asked them outside Washington's Hudson Institute on 23 April 2026 to address accusations of orchestrating violence against Indian Christians.
RSS general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, who had just delivered a Hudson speech praising the RSS as devoted to "character building and national service," refused to respond. Senior RSS leader Ram Madhav, standing beside him, also declined comment. Both men entered a vehicle and departed.
Indian Hindu Nationalist Leaders Avoid Questions on Christian Persecution

The accusation Friedrich raised could not be more serious: "RSS stands accused of orchestrating or tolerating attacks on Christians, including violence against nuns, and the mob lynchings of minorities for eating beef."
Archbishop Joseph D'Souza, president of the All India Christian Council, has documented the pattern in detail. Anti conversion laws now criminalise ordinary acts of Christian worship in over a dozen Indian states. Maharashtra's updated Freedom of Religion law classifies two family members converting to Christianity as "mass conversion." Church vandalism and worship disruptions are now routine across northern India. The RSS will not answer the questions because there is no answer. The evidence speaks for itself.
The Crusader's Opinion
The RSS is one of the most powerful political organisations on earth. It controls the BJP. It influences over a billion lives. And when a journalist on a public street asks its general secretary whether it tolerates the murder of Christians, he gets in a car. That silence is the truest answer the RSS has ever given. India is a strategic partner of the West, and Western governments must stop pretending that strategic partnership requires silence on persecution. Hosabale ducked Friedrich. He will not duck history.
