Georgia Church Slammed for Using Playboy Bunny Logo to Promote Easter Service

Former Porn Star Turned Pastor Calls Out Georgia Church for Playboy Bunny Easter Ad

Action Church in Ball Ground, Georgia is facing backlash after posting an Easter invitation on social media that featured a bunny silhouette resembling the iconic Playboy logo alongside the phrase "Get Some Action this Easter."

The April 2 promotional post invited attendees to arrive early for a 9 a.m. breakfast before a 10 a.m. Easter service. But the imagery and wording immediately drew criticism from Christians across social media.

Brittni De La Mora, a former adult film actress who now co leads Love Always Ministry with her husband Richard, was among the most vocal critics. De La Mora, whose ministry focuses on helping people discover God's love and live a life of purity, shared screenshots of the ad on Facebook and did not hold back.

"People who are lost aren't looking for more of the world. They're looking for hope. They're looking for truth. And this isn't it."

De La Mora cited Ephesians 5:4, which warns against obscenity and coarse joking, arguing that churches should present the Gospel's truth rather than worldly gimmicks. She emphasized that when she left the adult film industry, it was not because a church tried to be culturally relevant.

"Churches don't need to look like the world to reach the world."

This is not the first time Action Church has courted controversy with its advertising. Last year, when Easter fell on April 20, the church produced a promotional video playing on "4/20" marijuana culture. The ad featured Lead Pastor Gary Lamb exiting a smoke filled car while wearing a tracksuit, with references to "munchies."

Action Church's website states it prioritizes putting "God first" and welcomes everyone regardless of background.

Church Uses Playboy Logo to Promote Easter Service and Christians Are Not Having It

The controversy highlights an ongoing tension within American Christianity over how far churches should go to appear relevant and attract new attendees. Critics argue that using sexually suggestive imagery to promote the holiest day on the Christian calendar crosses a clear line. Supporters of creative outreach say unconventional methods can bring unchurched people through the doors.

De La Mora's unique perspective as someone who left the adult entertainment industry to follow Christ gives her criticism particular weight. She has repeatedly stated that the power of the Gospel itself, not marketing gimmicks, is what transforms lives.

The Crusader's Opinion

There is something deeply broken when a church thinks the best way to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ is by slapping a Playboy bunny on its Easter invite and telling people to "get some action." This is not edgy evangelism. This is a pastor so desperate to fill seats that he has confused the sanctuary with a nightclub. Brittni De La Mora is absolutely right. She walked out of that darkness and into the light of the Gospel, and she knows better than most that the lost are not searching for churches that mimic the world. They are searching for something radically different. The Cross does not need a rebrand. It never has.
