Fulani Terrorists Slaughter 29 Christians in Easter Sunday Church Massacres Across Nigeria
Fulani terrorists killed at least 29 Christians in coordinated Easter Sunday attacks on churches across Kaduna and Benue states in Nigeria.
What Happened to Christians in Kaduna and Benue on Easter Sunday 2026?
Fulani terrorists killed at least 29 Christians in coordinated attacks on Easter Sunday worship services across two Nigerian states, according to reports from Christian Daily International and Morning Star News.
In Ariko town, Kachia County of Kaduna state, gunmen surrounded the village and opened fire on worshippers gathered at Evangelical Church Winning All and St. Augustine Catholic Church. Army personnel confirmed 12 Christians were killed in the assault.
Dozens of congregants were reportedly kidnapped and dragged into the surrounding forest. Both church buildings sustained heavy damage during the raid.
"They surrounded the community and attacked the churches as Christians were in worship services." Kachia Council Member Mark Bawa
Bawa described the scene as worshippers scrambled for cover when the shooting began. The attack occurred while families had gathered to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
Separately in Benue state, suspected Fulani herdsmen struck the village of Jande in Mbalam, Gwer East County, at approximately 5 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Seventeen Christians were killed in that raid alone, with survivors displaced and homes destroyed.
Why Are Fulani Militants Targeting Nigerian Churches on Christian Holy Days?

According to Open Doors' 2026 World Watch List, Nigeria accounted for 72 percent of all Christians martyred worldwide between October 2024 and September 2025. That figure represents 3,490 of the 4,849 Christians killed globally for their faith during that period, up from 3,100 the previous year.
Nigeria currently ranks seventh on the World Watch List of countries where following Christ is most dangerous. The Easter Sunday attacks came despite repeated warnings from church leaders and security analysts about rising violence during Holy Week.
The Crusader's Opinion
Nearly seven out of every ten Christians murdered for their faith on Earth last year died in Nigeria. Let that sink in. While Western politicians lecture us about phantom Islamophobia, actual Christians are being butchered inside their sanctuaries on the holiest day of the year. Where is the outrage? Where are the UN resolutions? If Fulani jihadists had shot up a mosque on Eid, there would be global headlines for weeks. But dead Nigerian Christians do not trend. Their blood cries out from the ground, and heaven hears even when the world refuses to listen. The Bride of Christ in Nigeria is bleeding, and every believer in the free world owes her our voice, our prayers, and our wallets.
