DOJ Bombshell: Biden Administration Weaponized FACE Act Against Pro Life Americans While Firebombers Walked Free
DOJ report reveals Biden administration charged 45 pro life defendants while only prosecuting 5 people for attacks on pregnancy centers under FACE Act
DOJ Report Exposes Unequal FACE Act Enforcement Against Pro Life Pregnancy Centers
A newly released Department of Justice review has confirmed what pro life advocates have long suspected: the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act has been enforced unevenly, with pregnancy help organizations receiving far less protection than abortion providers.
The FACE Act was established to protect access to care for all organizations, including abortion clinics, pregnancy help centers, and places of worship. However, the DOJ report reveals that following the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision, pregnancy resource centers experienced widespread vandalism, threats, and intimidation that federal authorities frequently downplayed.
More than 300 churches and nearly 100 pro life pregnancy centers were targeted by groups like Jane's Revenge in waves of arson, firebombing, and vandalism. Yet the Biden era DOJ charged more than 45 pro life defendants in 20 cases under the FACE Act, compared to just five people in three cases involving threats and vandalism against pro life centers.
We have been calling for equal enforcement of federal protections. Federal law enforcement must apply the statute consistently to all parties.
Heartbeat International, representing a network of nearly 3,000 pregnancy help organizations, participated in discussions with the DOJ's Civil Rights Division and emphasized this demand for consistent application.
The report also documents problematic coordination patterns. Federal officials maintained close relationships with abortion advocacy groups like Planned Parenthood while extending less consistent outreach to pregnancy help organizations. This imbalance shaped policy discussions and enforcement outcomes.
Pro Life Activist Mark Houck Wins Million Dollar Settlement After FBI Raid and FACE Act Acquittal

The case of pro life activist Mark Houck illustrates the enforcement disparity. In September 2022, over two dozen heavily armed FBI agents raided Houck's home at dawn, terrifying his wife and seven children. He was charged under the FACE Act for an incident outside an abortion clinic where he protected his son from a hostile clinic escort.
Houck was acquitted by a jury in less than an hour of deliberations. He has since received a seven figure settlement exceeding $1 million from the DOJ for malicious prosecution, abuse of process, false arrest, and assault.
The report further documents monitoring of pro life individuals engaged in constitutionally protected speech. Pregnancy help centers provide ultrasounds, parenting education, housing support, and long term care connections at no charge, serving women facing unexpected pregnancies with genuine choices.
Personnel changes have already occurred within the DOJ, but advocates argue sustained protections are necessary to prevent future administrations from manipulating federal authority against pro life organizations.
The Crusader's Opinion
Let the numbers speak for themselves. Forty five pro life defendants prosecuted. Five abortion side defendants prosecuted. That is not equal justice under the law. That is a government weaponized against its own citizens for the crime of defending innocent life. When firebombers attack pregnancy centers and the DOJ looks the other way, but sends two dozen armed agents to terrorize a father of seven in front of his screaming children, we are not living under the rule of law. We are living under the rule of ideology. Mark Houck's acquittal and million dollar settlement are not just a vindication for one man. They are an indictment of an entire system that chose political vengeance over equal protection. Every Christian, every American who values justice, should be outraged.
