Reform UK MP Danny Kruger Says Britain's Sexual Culture Is Out of Control and Demands a Return to Marriage

Reform UK MP Danny Kruger has declared that Britain is suffering from a "totally unregulated sexual economy" and called on his party to lead a cultural reset centred on marriage and family.

In an interview with House Magazine published on February 25, 2026, Kruger, the MP for East Wiltshire who defected from the Conservatives to Reform UK last September, laid out a bold vision for reshaping British society around traditional Christian values.

Marriage traditionally was the means by which sexual relations between men and women were regulated, and I think we are suffering from having a totally unregulated sexual economy.

Kruger stressed he is not interested in policing individuals' private lives.

I'm not interested in your love life... that is your business. But I am interested in the framework in which you make your decisions, and I'd like the framework to be more pro social.

He said Reform would play a "limited but important role" in undoing the damage caused by the 1960s sexual revolution. He took particular aim at no fault divorce laws introduced by the Conservatives, saying they send the message that "your vows don't matter."

Kruger confirmed that Reform UK is "pronatalist," pointing to Hungarian Premier Viktor Orban's model of offering tax breaks and subsidised mortgages for families with three or more children. He argued that government policy is "critically important to the way families form" and called for making it easier for people to settle down with one partner.

The MP also condemned what he called "the cult of the independent individual," calling the philosophy "empty" and "destructive" to society. He said people are turning toward institutions like family that "give us meaning and identity and security and a sense of belonging."

Christian MP Calls for National Reset on Marriage and Family as Reform UK Pushes Pronatalist Agenda

Kruger's comments come just 24 hours after Reform leader Nigel Farage stated the party would leave ethical issues to the "individual conscience" of its MPs, highlighting a potential tension within the party.

The devout Christian MP, who works alongside theologian James Orr on Reform policy development, has previously called for a political and social Christian revival in Britain. His July 2025 parliamentary speech on that topic, delivered to an empty chamber, went viral with over 1.3 million views.

Kruger has also stated his firm opposition to assisted dying, saying he does not believe "it's possible to craft a safe one." He called the week in which both abortion decriminalisation and assisted dying were debated "a very, very dark episode in our national life."

The Crusader's Opinion

Danny Kruger is saying what millions of Christians across Britain already know: the sexual revolution was not liberation, it was demolition. It demolished the family. It demolished commitment. It demolished the very structure that holds civilisation together.

When a society decides that marriage vows are optional, that children are inconvenient, and that personal pleasure trumps sacrifice, that society is writing its own death certificate. Every collapsing birth rate, every fatherless home, every lonely elderly person abandoned in a care facility is a receipt for the bill the 1960s left us.

Kruger is one of the few politicians with the backbone to say it plainly. Whether Reform follows through remains to be seen, but at least someone in Parliament still fears God more than the opinion polls.
