Awake Arise: Christian Concern Tours the UK Urging Believers to Be Bold in Public Life

Andrea Williams, Andrew Marsh, and Dr Bernard Randall Tell Christians Their Faith Cannot Be Confined to Sunday as Britain's Spiritual Hunger Grows

Christian leaders touring Britain are urging believers to boldly engage in public life, rejecting the privatised faith that has hollowed out the UK Church for decades. The "Awake, Arise! London 2026 UK Tour," organised by Christian Concern, has rolled through cities across Britain addressing education, free speech, and the protection of unborn life.

"We are made in God's image," declared Andrea Williams, Chief Executive of Christian Concern and the Christian Legal Centre. "We are made to be God's representatives on earth."

Andrea Williams and Christian Concern Call UK Believers Back to Public Engagement

Andrew Marsh, Head of Operations at Christian Concern, framed it accessibly: "Whether you are a plumber, an architect, a road sweeper, a teacher, a homemaker or a journalist, your 9 to 5 is a noble part of being human." Christian work is Christian witness.

Dr Bernard Randall, former Church of England school chaplain, spoke from costly experience: "When we stand, things are noticed. When we stand, people see it." Williams added an encouraging note: "Young people are coming back to church. They are crying out for meaning and for purpose." The combination of the rising baptism numbers, the Logos Scotland loneliness report, and the Patmos Youth Bible engagement survey all suggest the UK Church may be on the cusp of revival.

The Crusader's Opinion

For three generations British Christians have been told that faith is private. The result is a hollowed out Church and a hollowed out culture. Christian Concern is calling believers back to the public square. Plumber, architect, teacher, homemaker. Every job is Christian witness. Every conversation is opportunity. The young are coming back. They are not looking for a polite, apologetic Christianity. They are looking for the full Gospel preached with courage. Awake. Arise. Get to work.
