Orthodox End Times Prophecy: Elder Theodoros Predicted Israel Would Strike Iran, Says Turkey and Erdogan Are Next

Years before a single missile was launched, a humble Orthodox monk on the mountains of Crete told his followers exactly what would happen. And now, as the world watches US and Israeli strikes devastate Iran and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei lies dead, Christians across the Orthodox world are pointing to a prophecy that is being fulfilled before their eyes.

Elder Theodoros Agiofarangitis, a great ascetic from the mountains of Crete who passed away in 2016, delivered a prophecy that was later shared publicly by Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphos. His words were chillingly specific:

"Dear children, you will be drinking your coffee when you hear that the Jews have struck Persia's nuclear program. Then great events will begin. At the same time, Erdogan will fall. These will be the signs you must watch for, the indicators that momentous things are underway."

From Iran to Turkey: What Orthodox Prophecy Says Comes Next

The first half of this prophecy has now come to pass. Israel struck Iran's Natanz nuclear facility in June 2025. Then on February 28, 2026, the United States and Israel launched a full scale military operation inside Iran that killed Khamenei himself. The strikes continue to this day.

But it is the second part of Elder Theodoros's prophecy that has the Orthodox world watching Turkey with intense focus. He declared that Erdogan would fall at the same time as the strike on Persia, and that this would mark the beginning of "great events."

This aligns with the prophecies of the most revered Orthodox seer of the 20th century, Saint Paisios of Mount Athos (1924 to 1994), who is credited with accurately predicting the fall of the Soviet Union, the breakup of Yugoslavia, Brexit, and even Erdogan's rise to power. Saint Paisios prophesied that after Erdogan is replaced, Turkey will launch a war against Greece. Russia will then intervene, attempt to cross the Bosporus Strait, and ultimately defeat Turkey. The prophecy concludes with Constantinople returning to Christian hands and the Hagia Sophia being restored as a church.

Whether one views these as divinely inspired visions or striking coincidences, the trajectory of current events has made millions of Orthodox Christians take notice. As Elder Theodoros warned: these are "the signs you must watch for."

The Crusader's Opinion

Prophecy or not, the facts speak for themselves. A monk on a Cretan mountainside described events that are now unfolding on the world stage with eerie precision. Iran has been struck. Khamenei is dead. And the prophecy says Turkey is next. For 600 years, the Hagia Sophia, the greatest church in Christendom, has been held captive. If God is moving the chess pieces of history as these elders foretold, then every Christian alive today may witness something our ancestors could only dream of: the Cross raised once more over Constantinople. Watch. Pray. And do not be caught sleeping.
