13 More Christians Murdered in Nigerias Plateau State: Three Pregnant Women Among the Slain in Bassa County
Fulani Gunmen Strike Ngbra Zongo Going House to House Killing Christians as ECWA Calls It Genocide
Fulani gunmen have murdered 13 Christians in Ngbra Zongo community, Kwall District, Bassa County, Plateau State, Nigeria on 8 May 2026. Three of the dead were pregnant women. Dozens more Christians were injured and hundreds displaced.
The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), one of Nigeria's largest Christian denominations, called the victims "martyrs whose lives were claimed by the ongoing genocide against Christians in Nigeria."
Plateau State Fulani Attacks Continue Ongoing Genocide of Nigerian Christians

"The armed herdsmen moved from one house to another attacking the Christian victims in their homes," said witness Lawrence Zongo. "The attack has left dozens of other Christians injured, hundreds of others displaced," said Joseph Chudu Yonkpa. "Our community of Rim is currently experiencing massive attacks from armed Fulani herdsmen," said Martha Dalyop.
The grim numbers continue piling up. Recent victims also include Reverend Ayuba Choji, his wife Chundung Choji, and their children Cyril and Endurance, killed on 26 April in the Rim area. Twenty year old Elisha Abbas Saku was beheaded on 16 April in Riwhie Chwo village. Open Doors confirms Nigeria accounted for 3,490 of 4,849 Christian deaths worldwide between October 2024 and September 2025, a staggering 72 percent.
The Crusader's Opinion
Three pregnant women among the murdered. Pastors and their children butchered in the Rim area. A 20 year old Christian beheaded in his village. The Tinubu government continues to obfuscate. The Western press continues to ignore. Truth Nigeria, Christian Daily, Open Doors, and ECWA are reporting what every Christian on earth must finally name: the slaughter in Nigeria's Middle Belt is genocide. There is no other word for the systematic, ethno religious, house to house killing of Christians by Fulani militias and Boko Haram. Demand the conditional aid bill becomes law before another pregnant woman is buried.
