Planned Parenthood of Illinois Pays $500,000 After EEOC Finds Racial Discrimination Against White Employees

Planned Parenthood of Illinois has agreed to pay $500,000 to resolve an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) investigation that determined the nation's largest abortion provider engaged in unlawful discrimination and harassment against white employees.

The EEOC announced the settlement on March 19, 2026, following a class investigation into charges brought by multiple Planned Parenthood employees. Investigators concluded that the organization violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by segregating employees by race, subjecting white employees to harassment, and engaging in disparate treatment.

According to the EEOC's findings, Planned Parenthood of Illinois maintained mandatory "affinity caucuses" separated by race, barring employees of other races from participating. All staff were required to attend one to two hour diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training sessions on a weekly basis.

The EEOC reported that these DEI training sessions involved repeated harassing and derogatory statements targeting white employees, including claims that they

"are White and do not feel racism the same way non White patients feel"

and that

"white supremacy is exerted at every level of oppression (individual, interpersonal, organizational, and societal)."

Investigators also found that white employees were denied access to time off that was routinely granted to Black employees.

EEOC Chair Condemns Planned Parenthood's Racial Segregation of Employees in Illinois

EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas testifies at her Senate confirmation hearing in Washington, D.C., June 2025

EEOC Chair Andrea Lucas stated:

"Segregating employees by race violates the core promise of our nation's civil rights laws."

The EEOC also confirmed it was "pleased" that Planned Parenthood of Illinois dismissed a manager whose conduct was uncovered during the investigation.

New Planned Parenthood of Illinois president Adrienne White Faines, who assumed the position in 2025, said the settlement allows the organization to "put this matter behind us and continue providing critical healthcare services." Planned Parenthood declined to comment further to The Christian Post.

This marks the second major racial discrimination complaint against the organization. In 2022, a former diversity director sued Planned Parenthood, alleging "widespread" racism within the organization.

The Crusader's Opinion

The irony is staggering. The very organization that preaches diversity, equity, and inclusion was caught segregating its own employees by race and harassing them for the color of their skin. Planned Parenthood has built its entire brand on "compassion" and "justice" while running what the federal government determined was a racially hostile workplace. Half a million dollars is pocket change for an organization that receives hundreds of millions in taxpayer funding every year. This is the same Planned Parenthood founded by Margaret Sanger, whose eugenic vision targeted minority communities. Now they are caught discriminating against another group of employees based on race. Sin repackaged as social justice is still sin. Civil rights laws exist to protect everyone, and no amount of progressive branding excuses racial harassment in any direction.
