Kendra Duggar Charged With Child Endangerment Days After Husband Josephs Arrest for Child Sexual Abuse
Kendra Duggar faces child endangerment and false imprisonment charges in Arkansas days after husband Joseph was arrested for child sexual abuse.
Kendra Duggar Arrested on Child Endangerment and False Imprisonment Charges in Arkansas
Kendra Duggar, 27, the wife of former "19 Kids and Counting" cast member Joseph Duggar, has been arrested and charged in Arkansas with four counts of second degree endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second degree false imprisonment.
The arrest came on Friday, March 20, just days after her husband Joseph Duggar, 31, was taken into custody on Wednesday on suspicion of child sexual abuse that authorities say occurred in Florida.
According to the Tontitown Police Department, the Arkansas charges are separate from Joseph Duggar's Florida case, though the Arkansas investigation began after the Florida allegations surfaced. Police noted the case remains active but declined to release further details due to the involvement of minor victims.
Kendra was booked into the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at 4:56 p.m. local time and was released on $1,470 bond at 6:19 p.m. the same day.
Joseph Duggar faces a charge of lewd and lascivious behavior involving unlawful sexual activity with a minor in Florida. A 14 year old girl alleged that Joseph sexually abused her multiple times when she was 9 years old during a 2020 family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida.
According to authorities, he repeatedly asked the girl to sit on his lap, covered them with a blanket, then allegedly manipulated her underwear and touched her inappropriately. Joseph later apologized to the girl, and the incidents ceased. He admitted his actions to investigators.
Both Kendra and Joseph Duggar are scheduled to appear in Elm Springs District Court on April 29 at 2:00 p.m. for the Arkansas charges. Joseph and Kendra married in September 2017 and have four children together.
Joseph Duggar's older brother Josh Duggar is currently serving a 12 year prison sentence. Josh Duggar's lawyer stated he is "not in frequent communication with Joseph Duggar and hopes and prays for his brother's well being."
Joseph Duggar's Wife Kendra Faces Multiple Misdemeanor Charges After Husband's Child Abuse Arrest

The Duggar family has been at the center of multiple scandals over the years. The family's TLC reality show "19 Kids and Counting" was cancelled in 2015 after it became public knowledge that Josh Duggar had confessed to molesting four of his sisters and another girl while he was a teenager.
The latest arrests mark yet another devastating chapter for a family that once presented itself as a model of Christian family values on national television.
The Crusader's Opinion
This is a gut wrenching story, and there is no way around it. When people who publicly claim to represent Christian family values are charged with endangering the very children they were entrusted to protect, it brings shame upon every believer who takes the faith seriously. The Duggar name has become synonymous with hypocrisy, and these latest charges only deepen the wound. Scripture is clear: whoever causes one of these little ones to stumble, it would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and be cast into the sea. If these allegations are true, there must be full accountability, no excuses, no cover ups, no hiding behind a church pew. Protecting children is not optional. It is a command from God Himself.
