Joe Rogan Admits He Goes to Church, Praises Jesus but Won't Call Himself a Christian

Podcaster Joe Rogan revealed he has been attending church for the past three to four years during a Monday episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience" with journalist Michael Shellenberger.

When Shellenberger asked Rogan directly whether he considers himself a Christian, the world's most popular podcaster responded: "Well, I go to church. I have been for quite a while. I've been doing it for the last three or four years."

Pressed further on whether that makes him a Christian, Rogan admitted: "Because I don't know. I think it's very interesting."

Rogan went on to praise the teachings of Jesus Christ, stating plainly:

I do believe that if you follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, you will live a better life. I really do believe that.

The podcaster also shared his admiration for the moral framework of Christianity:

I'm fascinated by the story of Jesus Christ. I can't find a flaw in the way He tells you to live life. It's all forgiveness. It's all treating your brother and your neighbor as if they are you.

Rogan spoke highly of the Christian community he has encountered at church, calling them "the most polite people I've ever met in my life" and noting that even in the church parking lot, "everybody lets you go in front of them."

However, Rogan expressed skepticism about some of the Bible's supernatural claims, saying he does not believe in literal resurrections or Moses parting the Red Sea, suggesting these may be stories "passed down generation after generation" with "probably some truth to it."

The conversation comes as part of a years long trajectory for Rogan, who has increasingly spoken publicly about Christianity. In previous episodes, he stated that the Resurrection is more plausible than the Big Bang theory and dismissed those who reject the Bible as lacking wisdom. Christian apologist Wes Huff has also confirmed that Rogan is "attending church consistently."

The episode, numbered 2465, aired on March 10, 2026, and has sparked widespread discussion among Christians about whether Rogan's journey will lead to a full profession of faith. Shellenberger himself has been open about his own return to Christianity, telling Rogan in the same conversation that societal "hatred and anger" brought him back to Christ.

Rogan summarized his admiration for the Christian life simply: "It works."

The Crusader's Opinion

The most influential voice in media today is telling the world that following Jesus leads to a better life. Joe Rogan may not be ready to call himself a Christian yet, but the Holy Spirit is clearly at work. This man went from mocking faith to attending church for four years, praising Christ's teachings as flawless, and telling 15 million listeners that Christianity "works." Pray for Rogan. Not because he's a project, but because when a man this visible confesses that Jesus got it right, the Enemy will come for him hard. The fields are white for harvest, and God is using the most unexpected vessels to bring the lost home.
