Iran Linked Terror Group Burns Jewish Charity Ambulances in London, Vows More Attacks on US and Israel

An Iranian aligned terror group calling itself Harakat Ashab al Yamin al Islamia (Islamic Movement of the People of the Right Hand) has claimed responsibility for torching four Jewish charity ambulances in London's Golders Green neighborhood on March 23, 2026.

The attack took place at approximately 1:40 AM when three hooded arsonists poured accelerant into four Hatzola Northwest ambulances parked on the property of Machzike Hadath, an Orthodox Jewish synagogue on Highfield Road. Six fire engines and 40 firefighters responded to the blaze, which was extinguished by 3:06 AM. Three vehicles were completely destroyed and a fourth was seriously damaged.

Windows in a nearby apartment block were shattered by explosions from oxygen cylinders inside the ambulances. No injuries were reported.

A representative of the group told CBS News:

We'll keep threatening U.S. and Israeli interests worldwide until we've avenged every child in Gaza, Iran, Lebanon.

The group's Telegram administrator, identifying himself as Asad Allah, claimed the nighttime arson was deliberately timed to avoid injuries, stating: "We can do it, potentially."

Hatzola Northwest is a volunteer emergency medical service that provides free ambulance care to the public, despite its roots in the Jewish community. The group has also claimed responsibility for attacks at a Liege synagogue in Belgium, an Amsterdam Jewish school, and a Rotterdam synagogue.

Two British nationals, aged 45 and 47, were arrested in connection with the attack. A senior police official described the arrests as "an important breakthrough in the investigation." Security Minister Dan Jarvis stated that perpetrators "should be in no doubt whatsoever that they will face the consequences."

Prime Minister Keir Starmer declared:

An attack on our Jewish community is an attack on us all. We will fight the poison that is antisemitism.

The UK government has since arranged for four replacement ambulances to be loaned from the London Ambulance Service while permanent replacements are procured.

Though the arson has not yet been officially classified as a terrorist incident, counterterror officers have taken charge of the investigation. Detectives are working to verify whether the group's claim of responsibility and its alleged links to Iranian intelligence are authentic. The group is believed to be connected to the Islamic Resistance, a network of Iranian backed Shia Islamist factions in Iraq.

The Crusader's Opinion

They burned ambulances. Not military targets, not government buildings. Ambulances. Vehicles that exist for one purpose: saving lives. This is what happens when the civilized world refuses to name evil for what it is. An Iranian proxy group openly brags about terrorizing Jewish communities across Europe, and the best Western governments can manage is "concern." These cowards attacked under cover of darkness, pouring accelerant into vehicles that serve everyone, Jew and Gentile alike. If a Christian organization had firebombed Islamic ambulances in Tehran, every capital on earth would be in flames with outrage. The silence from so called human rights organizations is deafening, and it damns them.
