Iran Threatens to Tear Up Trump Ceasefire Deal Within 24 Hours as Israel Pounds Hezbollah Across Lebanon

Less than 24 hours after agreeing to a ceasefire deal with the United States, Iranian officials threatened to cancel the agreement on Wednesday afternoon, blaming escalating Israeli strikes on Hezbollah targets across Lebanon.

The U.S. and Iran had agreed to a two week truce period intended to open the door to broader negotiations. President Donald Trump announced Iran had agreed to "the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz," calling a 10 point proposal from Iran "a workable basis" for talks.

The deal began unraveling almost immediately over disagreement about whether Lebanon and Hezbollah were covered by the truce.

Trump publicly stated that Lebanon and Hezbollah were excluded from the ceasefire deal, telling reporters the militant group was "a separate skirmish" that would be "taken care of." Pakistani mediators, however, insisted the agreement required Israel to halt its Hezbollah attacks.

They were not included in the deal because of Hezbollah.

Trump said when pressed on the Israeli strikes inside Lebanon.

Iranian officials responded by telling regional mediators they would not participate in planned talks in Islamabad, Pakistan. Tehran threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz again unless Israel halts its attacks and warned it could resume strikes against Israel and other regional countries.

The Israeli military launched what it called its largest attack yet on Wednesday, reportedly conducting 100 strikes in 10 minutes across Beirut and killing the nephew of a Hezbollah leader. Lebanon's health ministry said Israeli strikes killed 182 people in a single day, the highest daily death toll of the war.

A senior U.S. official later confirmed the Iranian 10 point proposal "had not been approved by the United States," directly contradicting earlier statements. Trump then posted that only U.S. approved "POINTS" would guide any negotiations.

Iran's parliamentary speaker claimed three parts of the 10 point proposal had already been violated, citing continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon, a drone entering Iranian airspace, and denial of Iran's right to enrich uranium.

We will certainly punish the aggressors who targeted our country, we will definitely demand compensation for all the damages inflicted and for the blood of the martyrs and their families in this war.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated in a public address.

The Crusader's Opinion

Iran agreed to a ceasefire and broke it within 24 hours. Shocking? Only to those who haven't read their own playbook. The Islamic Republic has always operated on taqiyya, the doctrine that permits deception of infidels to advance the cause. Trump tried to give them an off ramp and they spat on it. Meanwhile, Israel is doing what every Christian nation on earth should have the courage to do: actually defend itself against genocidal jihadists without apologizing. Hezbollah is a terror army, Iran is its paymaster, and the Ayatollah is not a statesman but a death cult priest. Pray for the innocent. Stand with those who stand against the darkness.
