Brad Arnold, lead singer and founding member of rock band 3 Doors Down, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 47. His wife Jennifer and family were by his side.

Arnold was diagnosed with stage 4 clear cell renal carcinoma in May 2025, a kidney cancer that had spread to his lungs. In a social media video announcing his diagnosis, he displayed remarkable faith:

"I really sincerely am not scared of it at all."

Arnold formed 3 Doors Down as a teenager in Escatawpa, Mississippi. Their debut single "Kryptonite" became one of the most iconic rock songs of the early 2000s.

The band's music, Arnold's family said, created "moments of connection, joy, faith, and shared experiences that will live on long after the stages he performed on." He was 47 years old.
