Dr. Ben Carson Drops Truth Bombs on COVID Lies and Human Equality at Major Faith Conference
Dr. Ben Carson challenges COVID era misinformation and champions Creator given human equality at the Discovery Institute Dallas Conference on Science and Faith.
Dr. Ben Carson Delivers Powerful Keynote on Human Equality and COVID Misinformation at Dallas Faith Conference
World renowned pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson delivered a keynote address at the Discovery Institute's eighth annual "Dallas Conference on Science & Faith" on February 28, 2026, at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.
The event, titled "Endowed by Our Creator: Science, Faith, and the American Idea," was timed to coincide with the nation's approaching 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Carson, who currently serves as USDA National Adviser for Nutrition, Health, and Housing, spoke during a panel conversation with John G. West titled "Created Equal."
Carson addressed the dangers of COVID era misinformation, drawing a sharp distinction between science and ideology.
People did things not based on scientific facts, but based on their opinion of what scientific facts are.
Dr. Ben Carson
The former HUD Secretary emphasized the importance of engaging with those who disagree rather than dismissing them entirely.
You can learn a lot more from somebody who doesn't agree with you on everything. If two people agree about everything, one of them isn't necessary.
Dr. Ben Carson
Carson urged audiences to focus on ideas rather than attacking individuals, warning that personal attacks are tearing the nation apart.
Do you see how divided people are? They're not likely to be able to come to any useful conclusions because they've said, 'That is a bad person' rather than 'That is a bad idea.'
Dr. Ben Carson
Drawing from his decades of experience in neurosurgery, Carson made a powerful case for human equality rooted in biology. He noted that every human brain looks the same regardless of origin, stating that the brain "is the thing that makes you who you are." He emphasized that environment, not biology, shapes identity, using accent acquisition as an example of nurture's profound role in human development.

The conference also featured philosopher Stephen C. Meyer, neurosurgeon Michael Egnor, and engineer Stuart Burgess, all of whom addressed the intersection of scientific discovery and faith based understanding of human dignity.
Carson concluded by advocating for fact based dialogue over ideological warfare, telling attendees to "put the facts on the middle of the table and then have the discussion" rather than leading with ideology.
The Crusader's Opinion
Dr. Ben Carson is living proof that brilliance and faith are not mutually exclusive. Here is a man who separated conjoined twins, who held human brains in his hands, and what did he discover? That God made us all equal. Not the government. Not the university system. God.
The COVID era exposed something rotten at the heart of modern society: the worship of credentialed opinion over actual truth. Churches were shuttered while liquor stores stayed open. Christians were told to "follow the science" by people who couldn't define what a woman was. Carson is right to call it out. Bad ideas must be confronted, not coddled. And the best idea humanity has ever received is that every single person is endowed by their Creator with equal dignity. That's not a political slogan. That's the Gospel.
