Columbus Rises Again: White House Erects Replica of Statue Destroyed by BLM Mob in Defiant Tribute to Western Civilization
The White House installed a marble Columbus statue on its grounds replacing the monument destroyed during 2020 BLM protests in Baltimore.
White House Installs Columbus Statue Replica From Destroyed Baltimore Monument to Honor Western Civilization
The White House erected a 13 foot, one ton marble statue of Christopher Columbus outside the Eisenhower Executive Office Building over the weekend, replacing a monument that was destroyed during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests in Baltimore.
The statue was installed around 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 22, as part of President Trump's efforts to honor the 250th birthday of the United States and celebrate the legacy of Western civilization in the New World.
The original statue was dedicated in 1984 by Baltimore Mayor William Donald Schaefer and President Ronald Reagan. On July 4, 2020, protesters tore it from its pedestal and threw it into Baltimore's Inner Harbor during the nationwide unrest following the death of George Floyd.
The Conference of Presidents of Major Italian American Organizations led the reconstruction effort. Sculptor Will Hemsley used 3D scans of salvaged fragments to create a mold for the new work, using a marble and resin "cold cast" process that integrated the original physical material into the new sculpture.
In this White House, Christopher Columbus is a hero, and President Trump will ensure he's honored as such for generations to come.
A White House spokesperson made this declaration in a statement accompanying the installation.
Basil M. Russo, president of the Conference of Presidents of Major Italian American Organizations, praised the move.
Columbus statues have long stood as symbols of pride and cultural identity for more than 18 million Americans of Italian descent.
Trump Resurrects Toppled Columbus Monument on White House Grounds in Bold Stand for Western Heritage

The new statue was placed on the north side of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building facing Pennsylvania Avenue. It is on loan to the White House until the end of Trump's term.
The installation is part of a broader push by the Trump administration to restore and honor monuments tied to American and Western history that were removed or destroyed during the 2020 protests, when statues of Columbus, Confederate figures, and other historical monuments were toppled across the country.
The Crusader's Opinion
In 2020, a mob tore Christopher Columbus from his pedestal and threw him into the harbor like garbage. The authorities did nothing. The media cheered. They called it "justice." Now the man who brought the cross to the New World stands tall again on the grounds of the White House itself. Let that sink in. The same civilization they tried to erase is fighting back. Columbus was no saint, but he carried the faith of Christendom across an ocean and changed the course of human history. You can topple statues, rewrite textbooks, and burn flags, but you cannot destroy what God has built. Western civilization, rooted in Christianity, will not be shamed into silence. Not anymore.
