Franklin Graham Preaches to 89,500 in Peru as Thousands Accept Christ at Esperanza Lima
Franklin Graham, the son of legendary evangelist Billy Graham, preached the Gospel to over 89,500 people across two nights at Peru's National Stadium in Lima during the Esperanza Lima festival on March 7 and 8, 2026.
The first night drew 41,000 attendees, with thousands more lining the streets outside the stadium. The second night packed in 48,500 faithful, and nearly 10,000 people came forward during the altar call across both evenings. Over 20% of those who responded were between the ages of 10 and 25.
Only the blood of Jesus can save you. He is the only way.
Graham proclaimed this message to the packed stadium, citing John 14:6: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father, except through Me."
On the first night, Graham preached from Luke 15, the story of the Prodigal Son. On the second night, he delivered a message about the blind beggar Bartimaeus from Mark 10, who was healed by Jesus. After this sermon, more than 4,100 prayed with Graham to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Esperanza Lima was a massive partnership between the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and 2,300 churches across the Lima region. The event was originally planned for a single night but expanded to two due to overwhelming demand from local pastors.
The BGEA provided 600 free buses each night to transport people who otherwise would not have been able to attend. Musical performances featured Christian artists Charity Gayle, The Afters, Christine D'Clario, and the Jahaziel Band.
Among those who accepted Christ were Oscar Nunez and his pregnant wife, Karina Arcela. Arcela reflected on her transformation:
God has heard all of my prayers... He is my Savior.
Graham has upcoming evangelistic campaigns scheduled for Madrid, Spain on May 30 and 31, and Manchester, England on October 3 as part of his "God Loves You" tour.
Nearly 10,000 Accept Christ as Franklin Graham's Esperanza Lima Fills Peru's National Stadium

The event marks a historic moment for the evangelical movement in Latin America. This took place exactly 28 years after Billy Graham himself preached at the same stadium in March 1998, making it a powerful generational continuation of the Graham family's mission to spread the Gospel worldwide.
The Crusader's Opinion
Nearly 90,000 people packed a stadium in Lima to hear the Gospel, and the mainstream media barely whispered about it. Meanwhile, every time a church makes a mistake, they plaster it across every headline. This is what revival looks like. This is the Holy Spirit moving through Latin America with unstoppable force. Franklin Graham stood in the same stadium his father filled 28 years ago, and the fire has not dimmed. Nearly 10,000 souls came forward to accept Christ, many of them young people under 25. That is the future of the Church, and the enemy knows it. Pray for these new believers. Pray for Graham's upcoming events in Madrid and Manchester. The harvest is plentiful.
